Channel Islands G Skate

The Channel Islands G Skate is a fast, playful, and highly responsive hybrid, created by Britt Merrick alongside Dane, Pat, and Tanner Gudauskas. Its goal is to combine the free and fun feel of a twin fin with the control and precision needed for high-performance surfing.

Its compact and curved outline, along with the Swallow tail, low entry rocker, and forward wide point, allows it to generate speed quickly and keep the board loose on the water. The slight single to double concave provides acceleration and lift, while the contemporary shortboard rails offer precision and control in turns.

The G Skate features a 2 + 1 (Twin + Trailer) fin setup that offers a particularly free and fluid feel, but with more control than a traditional twin fin. It can also be used with a conventional thruster setup, offering even more possibilities depending on the conditions and surfing style.
