The Lost The Griffin by Mayhem is a step-down performance shortboard developed directly from the small-wave competition boards used by Griffin Colapinto, including the 5’10” he rode to victory at the 2022 Surf Ranch Pro.
Its outline maintains a contained width, similar to that of a traditional high-performance shortboard, but incorporates a slightly fuller nose and tail that provide speed and forgiveness without making it a wide or heavy board. The relatively parallel outline helps maintain speed and drive even when waves lack power.
The low and fast entry rocker generates immediate speed, while the curvier tail rocker allows for strong and precise turns. The Rounded Pin tail provides control and responsiveness, enabling radical maneuvers while maintaining a fluid feel.
